Impressionist painting as learning metaphor

Impressionist painting era is remembered as a notable period. A method which unleashed the talents of many artists who brought fluidity and surrealism to entire journey of art. Today in the space of Leadership Transformation Impressionist painting interventions brings about great insights. These paintings done together in leadership workshops create a different aura and bring teams into a synergistic journey forward.

Some time back, one of dear industry colleagues Prabodh Sirur shared this amazing metaphor that could be used during leadership workshops and since then we have used it in many of our interventions. While introducing them to a new side of themselves the entire experience also brings them together as a team.

The journey of leadership is a lot to do with continuous innovation and development of talent. This simple engagement really helps people move forward in terms of listening to others ideas and build a collaborative spirit. The Painting is a visual testimony of their contributions and memories of creation.

I would encourage leaders and facilitators to take this practice into workplaces and support people to bond, collaborate, synergise, and create a well orchestrated journey for success as teams!!
